Might & Magic and The Chaos Alliance
71Random Quote of the Month
"We shall not shed tears, for tears mean the defeat of the body to the heart. And to us that simply proves, that the existence of a heart is a burden."
-Rukia from Bleach 19
Intro and Purpose
Before I created this site, I couldn't find A SINGLE SITE with any tips about Might and Magic Heroes Alliance so I designed this site for those in search of the same thing. This help site is to give tips and help answer some questions I found through my own personal experience.
This site is also used to communicate and post achievements about the Alliances I've created.
If you stumbled across this site without already being a player in this game, follow the links below the pictures to join (under picture on the right or under New World Chaos Alliance).
Newbie Tips
Choosing character classes is important and irreversible unless you "Respec" your character which will cost you 2 skill points.
When starting,the
Landlord class is recommending to already start gaining skill points for your 2nd and 3rd hero. After leveling up the "Enlister" ability one or two points, your 2nd character should start off with the
Builder class. Use the Builder class to level up the "Quartermaster" ability which increases Common Resources and then the "Gold Digger" ability (when your gold mines are leveled up).
Choosing your 2nd Character:
What's more important then choosing the right classes, is choosing the right Character. Your 2nd Character should be the opposite, in order to compliment your first character.
If your 1st character does not have magic, then your second character should. If your first character is a fanatic (refer to Hero Strengths below) in some traits, your second character should be classical or scholastic in the same traits or fanatic in the traits the first is not. Same rules go for the "Strong, Average, Weak" subcategories except your not going to prefer weak or average to strong.
Hero Management
Hero Strengths
The way a hero is trained and increases its Attack/Defense and Magic varies through 6 different categories.
The first set of categories describes how fast the points for a trait increases through each level.
Scholastic means a hero acquires knowledge through reading and academic training (1 point till 10). The learning curve is initially slow as the hero learns the basics, but at level 10, accelerates until level 30. After 30, the hero has nearly reached his potential and will learn only a few points through level 40.
Scholastic, strong progressions mean the maximum amount of points that can me learned (at level 40) is 60.
Fanatic progression means the hero gets strong quickly (2 points per level). The hero acquires knowledge directly from battlefield experience. After some time, he stops learning from instinct alone, and point accrual slows. Toward the end at level 31, the hero becomes inspired by the gods and resumes fast progression up until level 40.
Fanatic, strong maxes out at 60 at level 40.
Classical means that point progression is linear (1.5 points per level). The Hero gains the same amount of points from level 1 to 40.
Hero Class Combos
For Defensive characters (characters that will stay in your Region):
Builder High Pay ability gives "All units defense increased by 5" per ability level
Barbarian (possibly 2: 1 for pillage, 1...) to detect Spys. Your going to want this pretty early in the game. Although you start off with Newbie protection, people can still spy on you. You might want to even have 2 Barbarians if you want to pillage other towns with a pillage.
Knight () used to build forts. Only he can build them, so your going to want to give him to someone you wouldn't mind staying home. Forts are your only protection (besides patrolling) for your mines. Perfect to have when your army is busy dominating, which leaves you open for attack.
Architect (separate from Ranger) to build defensive balistas (600 defense power) and catapults. They can only be bought once a day. I suggest having an Architect a week before your Newbie protection wears
off. That way you can build 7 by the time people can attack you. Also (get ready to) build a wall 5 days before Newbie protection wears off. It takes at least a day to build cheap and a couple days to gather enough materials.
(Separate from Pillager)
Defense Recap: Builder, Barbarian, Architect, Knight (possibly separate)
For Offensive Characters (and I'm not talking about characters that are rude):
Your going to want 2 offensive characters:
1 To Siege, PvP other heroes, and Pillage
2 the other to spy your next target while your besieging takes 3 or 4 days.
Part of Character 2
Leader is probably one of the first classes you want to have (after landlord and builder) because it allows you to increase your chances of recruiting same race neutrals with the Diplomat ability.
Part of Character 2 (Preferably different from your Character with Leadership ability)
Ranger to immediately keep track of your enemies. "Spying master" level 1 gives you 5 levels of spying which is perfect against level 1 Barbarians (which allows 3 levels for infiltrating spies).
(Possible combo with Landlord)
Part of Character 1 (Besieger)
(Separate from Ranger) Needed for pounding down the enemy.
Magic- Destructive/Summoner - but that all depends on what your race allows you to have. Dark Magic isn't necessary till after newbie protection wears off and you start to PvP others. And if your the Haven class which allows you to have Priest magic, it'll be awhile till your able to have enough resources to pay for spells.
(Or fighter if no magic)
Part of Character 1
Barbarian (2) good for Player versus Player (PvP) battles. Offensively it allows you to pillage and kill more with "Slaughter" skill the other player.
Architect besieging must to break down walls of a high level player defense.
Combo Recap for Offense Characters:
1) Landlord, Leader, Ranger
2) Magic, Barbarian(2), Architect, Fighter (if no magic) or stack Builder(2)
Suggested Class Learning Order
After reading the above text boxes, here's a quick summary of what the classes you should learn in order:
Landlord to set up for later heroes.
Builder to start up wealth.
Barbarian(2) to detect spies, even before Newbie Protection wears off.
Leader to recruit neutrals before you dominate.
Ranger keep an eye on your enemy and prepare an army for his weakness.
Magic-(preferably)Destructive only if your not Haven.
Architect to begin production of defensive balistas and catapults.
Knight to mine protecting forts. City Fort (wall) needed.
Merchant only when your alliance is big enough to trade back and forth with other players and you need a speed boost.
(Fighter) left out unless you want to make a unit specific army.
